Seeing God means BELIEVING
“You’re only believing me now because you have seen me but blessed are those who have NOT seen me and yet HAVE believed” (John 20: 29)
“The work of God is this, to believe in the one God sent” (John 6: 29)
What is the Bible…?
- 66 books
- 39 in OT
- 27 in NT
“These things are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20: 31)
“It’s a book of myths!”
“What about Science…?”
“What about all the contradictions…?”
“But it would have changed over the years in translation”
What do we believe God’s Word teaches…?
We believe :-
- God made everything - we blew it
- God is forgiving - yet just
- God came up with a solution - that's where Jesus comes in
- We each have a choice - what's yours?
“The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life” (Romans 6: 23)
“To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1: 12)
“Whoever believes in him is not condemned but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son” (John 3: 18)
Is this all there is to our believing…?
“Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says” (James 1: 22)
