back to Real Lives
“I started coming to Dorchester Community Church two and a half years ago.The first time I came was to attend a friend of mine’s baptism and I instantly felt at home. I have always known about God and believed in him, but didn’t truly know what Christianity was all about. Since joining the Church I feel I have moved closer to God and have a better understanding of what it is to be a Christian.
I wanted to get baptised as I knew that it was something I wanted and needed to do to be closer to God and obey his word.
God is a constant comfort in my life, knowing that I’ll never be alone. Often I stumble and do the wrong things, but I know that God will always guide me back to where I need to be.”
Written for Baptism Sunday 8th April 2012.
